Install Claude Code and obtain your plan API key, model name, and the service's Anthropic-compatible base URL. This integration works only if the service supports the Anthropic Messages API; that support has not yet been confirmed for this site.
Configure your terminal#
Check your installation with claude --version. If the command is missing, follow the official installation guide before configuring a provider.
For macOS or Linux, set the values for the current shell session. Replace the placeholders with the values supplied by this service.
export ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL="https://your-anthropic-compatible-base-url"
export ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN="your-api-key"
export ANTHROPIC_MODEL="your-model-name"
export ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_OPUS_MODEL="$ANTHROPIC_MODEL"
export ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_SONNET_MODEL="$ANTHROPIC_MODEL"
export ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_HAIKU_MODEL="$ANTHROPIC_MODEL"
export CLAUDE_CODE_SUBAGENT_MODEL="$ANTHROPIC_MODEL"The default model variables route automatic model selections to the same provider model. Use different IDs only if your provider documents them. Do not copy the official guide's context suffix or compaction settings without confirming your provider supports them.
For Windows PowerShell:
$env:ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL = "https://your-anthropic-compatible-base-url"
$env:ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN = "your-api-key"
$env:ANTHROPIC_MODEL = "your-model-name"
$env:ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_OPUS_MODEL = $env:ANTHROPIC_MODEL
$env:ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_SONNET_MODEL = $env:ANTHROPIC_MODEL
$env:ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_HAIKU_MODEL = $env:ANTHROPIC_MODEL
$env:CLAUDE_CODE_SUBAGENT_MODEL = $env:ANTHROPIC_MODELKeep these settings in the current terminal while testing. Do not paste a real key into a public file.
Start Claude Code#
Open a terminal in your project directory, then run:
claudeAsk a small question to verify the connection. Check the model selected by your client and the plan usage shown by your provider. Additional model defaults and context settings may be needed; use the values documented by the service rather than assuming official DeepSeek defaults apply.
If it does not connect#
Confirm the endpoint supports the Anthropic API, verify your key and model name, and inspect the error message. If the client returns an authentication error, remove stale environment variables from the current shell and set the intended values again.
Return to your previous provider#
If you set these variables only in this terminal, close it and open a fresh one. If you later saved them in a shell profile or client settings, remove the overrides there and restart the client. Restore any prior values you replaced.
Official reference#
See the DeepSeek Claude Code guide for the official API's current configuration. Our service's endpoint, model mapping, and support may differ.
