Look at a representative week of input, cached input and output tokens from your existing provider. Include the hours when you use several agents at once. A message count is not a token count, and a monthly average can hide short bursts that exceed a usage window.
dssub is still a preview. Use these steps to evaluate the planned offer; checkout, account usage and tool compatibility are not connected or verified yet.
Who should consider a subscription?#
A fixed subscription can suit regular coding workloads when its fee is lower than the API cost for your actual token mix and its limits fit your busiest sessions. You also need the required model and a verified client connection.
Pay-as-you-go can be preferable for occasional use, low monthly volume, highly cached input, or workloads that do not fit the subscription windows. A large allowance is only useful if you can and want to use it. Review the comparison examples before committing to an annual payment.
Compare the reference tiers#
| Plan | Monthly price | Monthly 5h / 7d | Annual price | Annual 5h / 7d |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | $19.90 | 50M / 400M | $119.40 | 75M / 600M |
| Max | $49.90 | 150M / 1,150M | $299.40 | 150M / 1,350M |
| Pro Max | $69.90 | 250M / 1,700M | $419.40 | 300M / 2,400M |
| Ultra | $299 | No 5-hour cap / 5,100M | $1,794.00 | No 5-hour cap / 8,400M |
M means one million plan tokens. Input, cached input and output each count at 1× in the reference design. These are reference allowances, not a verified service entitlement. No 5-hour quota cap does not mean unlimited throughput or unlimited monthly use.
Monthly or annual billing?#
Monthly billing is a shorter commitment. Annual prices are $119.40 (Pro), $299.40 (Max), $419.40 (Pro Max) and $1,794.00 (Ultra), paid upfront; the displayed monthly equivalent is not a monthly payment. Both billing choices use the same window durations, but annual plans retain higher allowances as listed above. Annual billing does not multiply an allowance by 12.
Compare the full annual charge against your confidence in the model, tool compatibility and expected usage. The refund policy provides a 15-day request window with review, not an unconditional trial or automatic prorated refunds.
Check more than the token allowance#
Before purchasing, confirm model availability, required API features, context and output limits, request and concurrency limits, reset rules, and what happens when you exhaust an allowance. dssub has not yet published final operating limits or production compatibility results.
Pro is the name of a plan, not a promise of the DeepSeek V4 Pro model. See models and API compatibility and verified status.
Make the comparison fair#
Use the same token volume and input/output/cache mix on both sides. Compare full recurring charges as well as per-token estimates. Include taxes or payment fees where applicable, and do not treat provider price promotions as permanent. Unused subscription allowance does not become cash or imply a refund.
For bursty usage, check every 5-hour and 7-day window. The monthly normalization in our price comparison is an estimate, not a monthly quota or proof that a request will be admitted.
Before paying#
Read usage limits, service readiness, privacy, and cancellation and refunds. Contact dssub at contact@deepseeksub.com if a requirement is not answered. Do not buy on the assumption that an unverified feature will be available.
